The concept of Cold Zone Black Glebe was first proposed by Suihua City in 2003, and the trademark was registered under the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Meanwhile, the Heilongjiang Cold Zone Black Glebe Agricultural Products Association was registered to serve the development and utilization of the brand COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT).
In 2007, the COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) trademark was successfully registered in the United States.
The COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) Group was founded in 2008 by the Heilongjiang Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative, relying on the COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) brand. It is a driving enterprise of agricultural industrialization in Heilongjiang as well as a leading enterprise of agricultural industrialization proposed by the National Supply and Marketing Cooperative.
The brand was assessed with a valuation of 11.595 billion yuan in the China Agricultural Products Regional Public Brand Value Evaluation in 2009, with 12.06 billion yuan in 2010 and 12.308 billion yuan in 2011. It has been the first place of China‘s agricultural product regional public brands for three consecutive years.

In June 2010, COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) trademark was successfully registered in the European Union.
In 2011, the group won the highest honor of brand creation, recognized as Well-known Brand of China by the Trademark Administration of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and was recognized as Heilongjiang Well-known Trademark in the same year.
On June 15, 2013, COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) brand agricultural products, under Heilongjiang Province Supply and Marketing Cooperative, were once again exhibited at the Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair. On June 29, 2016, COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT) Group was presented as the representative brand of Heilongjiang Black Glebe Agricultural Products and was displayed at the Guangzhou International Food Exhibition. On May 26th, 2016, the online and offline marketing campaign,I have an-acre field in Heilongjiang, was launched jointly by the Provincial Government Information Office, the Heilongjiang Provincial Agriculture Committee and COLD ZONE BLACK GLEBE (HDHT), which immediately attracted wide attention.
